Earlier this month, iDODDLE researcher Emilie Vrain presented the team’s research to actors from a creative theatre company renowned for driving social change through innovative performances. This presentation was the start of a collaboration to combine research and creativity. Emilie aims to help the company craft interactive narratives for pop-up performances on local trainline platforms, as well as a final theatre piece this summer called ‘Are we there yet?’. It is hoped that the actors will spark conversations about key issues like climate change with members of the public by centring their performances around the digital devices people carry—such as smartphones.
