In today’s digital age, the collection and utilisation of personal data have become increasingly pervasive in our daily lives. From social media platforms to online shopping, our interactions with digital services often involve the sharing of personal information, sometimes without our explicit awareness.

To shed light on this topic, Researcher Emilie Vrain conducted a survey with living lab households. Exploring perceptions of personal data collection when using various digital services with low carbon potential and the level of concern about it. A snapshot of preliminary results, presented in the bar charts below, offer valuable insights into attitudes towards data privacy and highlight the importance of raising awareness about digital data practices.
