On February 28, 2025, DPhil student Marcel Seger participated in the second edition of the annual Worcester College Energy Day, which was delivered in collaboration with the ZERO Institute (Zero-carbon Energy Research Oxford). The conference focused on all aspects of energy generation, conversion, consumption and storage, covering recent advances in these fields from faculty experts, postdoctoral researchers and graduate students across STEM and non-STEM departments at the University of Oxford.
Marcel gave a three-minute flash talk, disseminating his research findings concerning ‘Firm level optimisation strategies’ in the context of EV workplace charging. His presentation sparked considerable interest from fellow students and faculty members. Leading up to the event, during the morning, Marcel was fortunate to have received notification of acceptance of his first DPhil paper, which since then has been published in npj sustainable mobility and transport.
