Charlie Wilson was invited to speak at the A1 Digital Life Summit in Vienna as part of a panel on digitalisation and climate change … featuring Erin Brockovich! It was a rather nerve-wracking experience being the nerdy scientist on a panel alongside the famous anti-pollution campaigner (played by Julia Roberts in the eponymous film) in front of 500+ people in the beautiful Design Museum (‘MAK’). But her keynote speech on the need to be bloodyminded in fighting environmental injustice set a refreshingly can-do tone for the evening’s discussions.
