Poornima Kumar presented her research on the impact of trust, risk perception, and privacy concerns on the dynamics of digital adoption and continuance at the annual International System Dynamics Conference (virtually) in August. She spoke about her research conducting participatory systems mapping with individuals from the iDODDLE living lab households as well as with academics and industry professionals at the WODIN workshop conducted in Vienna, in May.
The conference, hosted by the System Dynamics Society, The University of Bergen, and other partners, featured research using system dynamics modelling and systems mapping methods. This year’s theme was Bridging Perspectives for New Insights. A core focus of the conference was the future of system dynamics modelling (particularly in terms of granularity and disaggregation) with advances in computational abilities. Several sessions showcased the latest research on integrating generative AI with system dynamics modelling, using it as a tool to complement manual analysis or to assist in analysing large datasets for system dynamics models.
