Scientists meet artists – The Climate Lab 101

  • News

The importance of engaging and empowering the general public to take action on climate change has never been greater. Outdoor Art 101 is a national centre supporting artists from all over the world who make work for the outdoors and public spaces, offering an excellent opportunity to communicate climate change.

During 21-25th October, Outdoor Art 101 organised a ‘Climate Lab’, for artists who want to address climate themes in their work, create powerful experiences for audiences and encourage positive climate action. iDODDLE research Emilie Vrain was invited to share her research with artists for two days during their residency, providing an opportunity to create evidence-based artwork. Multiple collaborations were developed and continue to develop pieces post residency ranging from outdoor theatre to interactive installations.
