Charlie Wilson gave a talk at the Oxford Martin School as part of the 11th Oxford Energy Day which was on energy and innovation. He outlined the main digital applications in buildings, transport and industry sectors that can impact energy use – for better or for worse, depending on how they are implemented. Steering from the worse to the best case scenario means climate policy needs to engage more fully with the potential impacts of digitalisation.
