A lot of work goes into trying to encourage people to start using something. Be it the latest new device or a quirky new app. Surprisingly, a lot less research goes into what happens after it’s been adopted. Do people keep using it or do they stop? In a recently published paper by Emilie Vrain and colleagues, they investigate a wide range of factors which may influence post-adoption decisions of discontinuance for an important class of low carbon digital innovations.
The paper is published in the journal Technological Forecasting and Social Change and can be found here.
