The Oxford SDG Impact Lab

  • News

In parallel to his DPhil, Marcel Seger participated in a 7-month fellowship with the Oxford Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Impact Lab, an extra-curricular initiative being brought forward by the Oxford Department of International Development (ODID). The SDG Impact Lab offers graduate studies the opportunity to turn research related to the 17 SDGs into real-world action by actively collaborating with world-leading industry partners. Marcel was part of the inaugural BMW Fellow cohort. During a five-week full-time work placement during June/ July 2023, Marcel and two of his team members closely worked alongside the BMW UK senior leadership team, specifically on two main projects: (a) solar PV electricity generation and (b) EV charging.
