On May 8, Marcel Seger was invited to join the ceremony of this year’s Vice-Chancellor’s Awards, convened in the Sheldonian Theatre in central Oxford, in recognition of this involvement with the Oxford SDG Impact Lab, formerly as research fellow and now as ‘academic supervisor’. The Oxford SDG Impact Lab was founded in 2021 by Prof Alex Betts and Dr Ed Brooks as extra-curricular program for graduate students to conduct impactful research, supporting private sector businesses on their journeys to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Marcel’s PhD research on smart electric vehicle (EV) workplace charging originated from his involvement as research fellow with BMW UK last year.
Among 250 award entries, the Oxford SDG Impact Lab was shortlisted as ‘finalist’ in the category ‘Support for Students Award’. This is a clear testimony of the hard work the wider lab team, including all fellow students, have put into the program throughout the past three years.
Congratulations to the entire Oxford SDG Impact Lab team. We are excited to see what lies ahead. Find out more about the Oxford SDG Impact Lab by visiting its website: https://www.sdglab.uk/.
